Consider getting your adjuster license

I have worked in some form of this industry for 25 years (yikes I’m old!) and have just enough knowledge to get me in trouble! But it seems these days that the insurance industry is failing it’s customers, and trying to promote the profits of their companies on the backs of thier customers.

So I wanted to have a better understanding, better training, for my clients as well as their customers. Hey, I have insurance too, and in working in this capacity over the years have learned a LOT – might as well fight the good fight from the inside right?

You can gain a lot when you know the rules to the game. Look up your local state requirements on your state’s insurance website – yes every state should have a state website, and there are varying requirements – mine didn’t even require classes! Just testing! But I’m a nerd and loved school – so I took my classes and got my license (full disclosure, I actually got the wrong one first, and then the right one next – but hey it all worked out in the end, and I came out with two license types and a wealth of extra knowledge! Silver lining and all….)

In the end it has greatly paid off. I have more experience, a better base of knowledge of the field (and my opponent – Ha!) and a better base of where everyone is coming from. And can’t we all benefit from a little understanding these days?
